A little dark for a party? Well, it could be an after-dark party, but its really that I did a pretty marginal job color correcting the image. The picture is really pretty cheerful. All those little blue and red and white dots are the glittery stuff. They're a lot smaller on the painting, and so bright that they overload the photo process, which is what makes them oversize and indistinct. If you move even an inch they disappear and you see a whole new set. You don't notice them so much in daylight, but because they're so bright, they almost take over the painting at night. Its like the painting changes its personality. It shimmers in a whole new set of colors. A lot of them do. I have to figure out how to get that across on the web. Actually, you really need to see the paintings themselves. Its like the difference between looking at a cat and at a picture of a cat.
